Swami Bhaktipada was the first sannyasa disciple of Srila Prabhupada, founder of the Hare Krishna movement. In 1968, Srila Bhaktipada founded the New Vrindaban community in West Virginia. Out of his pure love for Srila Prabhupada, Krishna directly empowered Swami Bhaktipada and allowed both the Palace of Gold and Sri Sri Radha Vrindaban Candra temple to manifest under his direction.

There is no end to the description of Srila Bhaktipada’s transcendental qualities. These combine with his personal example of humility to establish him as an especially empowered Messenger of Godhead. The essence of Srila Bhaktipada’s teaching is that we should always remember Krishna at every moment in our life and constantly chant the Holy Names of the Lord.

Currently, Srila Bhaktipada resides in India where he continues to inspire the lives of countless disciples though his classes, new writings and divine association.
